Moabit is a five-year-old bay gelding in training with Paul Nicholls.

Moabit is another lovely prospect. On his British and Owners Group debut in January 2016, Moabit finished second to a quality horse on what was also his hurdling debut, before registering four wins in a row. He was stepped up to Listed level for his penultimate run of the year, when far from disgraced in fifth place, before having no luck in a Class 2 handicap hurdle in August. He had a nice long break since then and returned to training in the spring. Moabit has looked a cracking prospect over fences and he made his chase debut on 23 May at Huntingdon, where he finished second. He jumped well on the whole and should come on plenty for the run.

Hurdle rating: 133
Note: On 21 June 2017, there were 3,533 horses with an official BHA hurdle rating, the lowest being 35 and the highest 169. The median average is currently 107.

Spirit Of Wedza is a five-year-old bay gelding in training with Julie Camacho.

Spirit Of Wedza is a tough and consistent horse, who has run an incredible 27 times for his owners. He landed his first win in June 2016, before running a series of consistent races in defeat until being narrowly denied his second win in January 2017. He then landed his second win for his owners in February 2017, which he did in good style. This front-running horse is ready to run now that the turf season is in full flow and should continue to give his owners plenty of fun in 2017.

Chartbuster is a three-year-old bay gelding in training with Julie Camacho.

Chartbuster is an unraced three-year-old, who has taken time to come to hand. Chartbuster began his education in the care of Andrew Balding, but was moved to Julie Camacho in October 2016, who felt there was something causing the horse discomfort. Chartbuster was sent to a top orthopaedic surgeon in January 2016, who identified a bit of cartilage that had become detached from his off-side stifle. Chartbuster underwent an operation to remove the separated cartilage and since then, he has really turned a corner and, with a trouble-free preparation, is now almost ready to make his racecourse debut.

Shares available in Sound Investment for just £41 (inc. VAT).

Sound Investment is a nine-year-old bay gelding.

Sound Investment has been a grand servant to his owners, winning the Grade 3 Greatwood Gold Cup at Newbury in February 2015, before adding the Grade 2 Old Roan Chase at Aintree to his CV in October 2015. He followed that up with a good third in the Grade 3 Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham in November 2015, before running well to finish fifth back at Cheltenham a month later in the Grade 3 Caspian Caviar Gold Cup. Achieving a career high mark of 162 over fences, Sound Investment has won over £120,000 in prize money for his owners whilst in the care of ten-time champion trainer, Paul Nicholls.

Unfortunately, Sound Investment has been off the track since December 2015 with a suspensory injury, but he is currently enjoying a long break and is recovering well. It has been decided to give him a change of scenery and transfer him from Paul Nicholls to the care of Emma Lavelle, who trains from her new state of the art yard near Marlborough, Wiltshire. Emma has done brilliantly with a number of our horses through our sister company, Axom, and excels with older horses with similar profiles to Sound Investment. Providing Sound Investment's rehabilitation continues to go to plan, he will hopefully go into training with Emma Lavelle this summer, with a view to running this autumn.

Shares available in Champagne Express for just £33 (inc. VAT).

Champagne Express is a seven-year-old bay gelding in training with Nicky Henderson.

Champagne Express is a lightly raced seven-year-old, who won on his hurdling and Owners Group debut in February 2015. Following that run, he was beaten six lengths by Rock The Kasbah, who went on to be rated 150 over hurdles. After running a decent enough race to finish fourth next time out in November 2015, Champagne Express was pulled up on each of his next two starts in February and March 2016. Nothing came to light following those two disappointing runs, so he was sent off on his summer break, but when he returned to training in October, he picked up a tendon injury in the pastern (between fetlock or ankle and foot), which required a period of rest.

Champagne Express is due to be re-assessed by the vets before he returns to training in the summer, with a view to running this autumn, but everything looks good so far. Darrell Scaife, who is looking after Champagne Express at the moment, recently said that he looks the best he has ever seen him, so we are hopeful of a full recovery. Being a lightly raced seven-year-old, we feel he is still a good prospect and has always been a chaser in the making with his size and scope, so we are hopeful he can reward the patience of his owners.

Shares available in True North for just £53 (inc. VAT).

True North is a two-year-old bay gelding by Henrythenavigator out of Cosmic Fire. This very good looking and correct individual was purchased at the Tattersalls Yearling Sale (Book 2) and was a real stand out. True North is a half-brother to the very useful Ray's The Bar, who won a maiden at Ascot on his debut before heading to America and finishing third in a Grade 3. A fine, upstanding gelding, he should be a mid-season two-year-old and his size and scope suggest that he will improve with time. Henrythenavigator was a top racehorse for Ballydoyle and won the Coventry Stakes as a two-year-old, before landing the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket, beating New Approach by a nose. He has produced a number of high-class offspring, including George Vancouver, who was an impressive winner of the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.

True North is in training with Sir Mark Prescott in Newmarket. Sir Mark is one of the most successful and well-respected trainers in the world and his meticulous approach is second to none. He has trained a number of top-class horses during his forty-plus years at Heath House, including Champion Sprinter Pivotal, Confidential Lady (French Oaks), Hooray (Champion Two-Year-Old filly) and Elite Racing Club's Group Group 1 winner, Marsha.

"I really liked True North at the sales and he certainly fills the eye. He has lots of scope and I could not be happier with how he has taken to life in training. He does everything asked of him and is well ahead in his education." Sir Mark Prescott

Breeding Syndicate

Shares available in Oceans Apart for just £38 (inc. VAT)

This syndicate is for the former Elite Racing Club broodmare 'Oceans Apart', who safely foaled a healthy colt by Sir Percy on 29 April. Both Oceans Apart and the colt foal seem to be in good health following the foaling. By purchasing a share in Oceans Apart, you are also purchasing a share in the foal. See our Terms and Conditions for more information.

The intention with this breeding syndicate is to eventually race the progeny, if the owners decide to proceed through the syndicate terms. Oceans Apart has been covered again for the new season by Poet's Voice, who is a very good looking son of Dubawi and has enjoyed an excellent start to his stallion career. He sired an Italian Guineas winner in his first crop and Poet’s Vanity was a very impressive winner of the Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes for him last season. He tends to sire strong, well-made individuals and is a very good winning-getting young stallion.

Oceans Apart's new foal is by Sir Percy, who was an extraordinarily consistent racehorse and won the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes as a juvenile, before finishing runner-up to George Washington in the 2,000 Guineas and landing the Derby at Epsom. With an exceptional Timeform rating of 129, Sir Percy proved to be tough and sound and he has enjoyed a great start to his career at stud. Sir Percy is renowned for producing winners and his offspring usually do well at two before progressing well.

This syndicate lasts until 30 November 2017.
