Lucinda has made good progress at Jane Allison's pre-training yard. She is due to be turned out for a few weeks in the spring/summer, before joining trainer Alan King.     Miranda is an eleven-year-old bay broodmare by the very high-class racehorse and stallion Camelot. She boasts an intriguing pedigree that suggests she could be capable of producing useful horses to run both on the Flat and over jumps. Miranda won seven times over hurdles, including Listed and Group races, and was placed on multiple occasions for her owners. Trained by Paul Nicholls, she finished her racing career on a handicap mark of 146. Miranda delivered a healthy colt foal by Maxios on 7 February 2026, and both mother and son are doing well. Miranda is due to be covered by triple Group 1 winner Hurricane Lane this spring.

    Fervent is an attractive four-year-old gelding. He won twice on the Flat in Ireland for his previous connections, over 1m2f and 1m4f. A progressive type, Fervent will hopefully continue to improve as he matures. He is by the speedy Australian stallion, Elzaam, and out of a Group-placed mare. Fervent is a half-brother to five winners. He looks to have the most stamina of his siblings, who have won from distances of 6f to 1m2f. The plan is for Fervent to go juvenile/novice hurdling, but he looks unexposed on the Flat so both options will be considered. Fervent is to be trained by Warren Greatrex.

Donald has enjoyed a hugely successful career and as well as winning the Grand National with Ballabriggs in 2011, he has tasted success at the Cheltenham Festival and won many of the season's top races since taking over the reins from his father, Ginger McCain, in the 2006/07 season.     Taranis Dubh is an athletic five-year-old gelding. He won his only point-to-point start in Ireland in October 2025, where he displayed an excellent attitude to beat the hot favourite by half a length. Taranis Dubh is a half-brother to two winning hurdlers and is by the high-class Frontiersman (by Dubawi), who is out of one of the best race mares ever, Ouija Board. Frontiersman is starting to make an impact as a Jumps sire and currently stands at Overbury Stud alongside Golden Horn. Taranis Dubh is trained by Olly Murphy from his Warwickshire yard. Olly has enjoyed an excellent start to his training career and also has the advantage of Champion Jumps Jockey, Sean Bowen, as his stable jockey. Taranis Dubh is likely to run in a bumper or two before going novice hurdling. Ultimately, as a point-to-point winner, he is likely to go chasing.

Presenting Doy is in training at Emma’s Bonita Racing Stables near Marlborough in Wiltshire. Emma has enjoyed plenty of success at the highest level, particularly with Paisley Park. Emma has achieved a number of successes for Owners Group with the likes of Manorbank, Gold Link, Wouldubewell and Kit's Coty.     Gillespie is a six-year-old brown gelding by Getaway. Getaway's best progeny include the Grade 1 winners Verdana Blue and Handstands, and former Owners Group star Getaway Trump, who won seven races under Rules and finished second to Champ in the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle at Newbury as a novice hurdler. Gillespie won a bumper at Ffos Las in December 2024 and has shown promise in his first two hurdles starts. Paul Nicholls believes that Gillespie will improve as he matures and that chasing will probably be the making of him. Gillespie has had a wind operation.     Wouldubewell is a twelve-year-old bay mare by Gold Well. Wouldubewell has taken to life as a broodmare very well. She produced her first foal, a filly by Kingston Hill, last year, and everyone at Kirtlington Stud is delighted with her. Chris Budgett reports that the filly is a good first foal with a wonderful temperament, just like her mother. Wouldubewell was scanned in foal to Golden Horn on 30 September 2025. Wouldubewell's potential progeny will not be racing for several years but we hope she can produce some exciting prospects.
